If you aren’t in a raid group with me you probably don’t want to bother with this. Just scroll past and get to the next item in your reader 
Log’s going to be out Friday, but available Saturday. That means right now we’re out two tanks, one healer, and two dps. I’ve invited a few fill ins but haven’t gotten replies from all of them…. I’d say it’s probably not going to be a good raid night. Up to you guys what you do. Saturday looks a bit better and I bet you can get a clear in then!
Rev and I will be back next week with our serious pants on and we’ll work on putting the smackdown on some bosses. Of course we need to talk about 4.3. Looks like it’s coming soonish. But we really want to get Falahla’s staff, and that’s going to require a lot more Firelands clears. We’ll need to figure out how to best spend time and we’re open to suggestions.
Log is a slacker. That is all. I suspect we are calling Friday. Maybe I can twist some arms and get people to do a ZA bear run.
Erg .. that’s something I hadn’t thought of. Looks like 4.3 is in a couple of weeks. We’re still finishing Lyssi’s staff in SR, too, plus we have one more heroic boss and some regular achievements to get our purple birdies.
I know that doing heroics would make doing the staff quest faster, but on the other hand if we get to where we can do a full normal clear in 2 hours, that would not be the worst plan either.
I vote for an off night on Friday and a full clear on normal on Sat. There is still plenty that Rag drops that we have not seen and one more full clear will get us to the next stage of the staff quest.
Come 4.3 I think we should still take some time to finish the staff. Its a guild acheivment and a “hey we did that” that would be nice for the raid group.

Yeah, it’ll take us another couple months of Firelands but, hey, whatever, easy way to max valor, right? And the staff will be BIS for Falahla still… and yes, guild ‘chieve and mini pet, we need to get it done.
Just be aware that the final collection stage of the quest goes VERY slowly. I get 3-4 embers from non-heroic bosses and 7-8 on heroic bosses. You need 250 to complete the collection.
I’m only at 63/250 and we’ve been killing heroic bosses. Get this, they INCREASED the drop rate in 10 man to this. I can’t imagine what it was like before.
There’s always the old strat of clearing firelands friday night, then moving on to new content for the rest of the evening and saturday. That should keep everyone happily raiding.
Yeah, or starting off with a could hours on new content and then pop over to FL for a fast clear. The first few weeks in 4.3 we will be wanting to do that anyway for the points. We dont get anywhere near maxed out when we are only downing the first boss or two of the new content. We were doing that in the BoT and BWD at the start of 4.2. So for the time being we are sure to be wanting regular FL clears.
Either works for me as long as I don’t have to tank… It’s too exhausting, and I’m too old
