I can actually feel your pain reading that story. I’m having somewhat similar feelings at the moment as a tank in the LGF system. Not a real surprise people are reluctant to tank for strangers.

I never ever PUG tank alone. Satchel? They could bury me in stachels and I still wouldn’t queue alone. And it’s not a matter of lack of confidence or a lack of skill, it’s the prospect of an hour long (sometimes longer if you’re really unlucky) stay in hell that makes me not queue alone.

I mostly always game with my brother as well, and at least when sh*t goes sour in a PUG there’s two of us to take a stand.

You can have all the skill in the world as a tank, at a certain point, you’re just not able to carry X amount of stupid/bad people.

I sound really bitter, i know …

It was a fun run!

Best I can tell, Blizzard’s “if you queue with a tank and the tank drops, you get kicked”, happened. Which isn’t supposed to happen that far into a run. It wasn’t Jhudora’s fault, she couldn’t have known.

I will say though, that after all that work in the 5 man last night, the vp’s would have been nice. What happened? But it was fun to see one of them at last.

I thank you for your vote of confidence! But I just enjoy running with you guys, as a tank or dps, and addoe is so calm, collected, and patient that I find myself looking forward to his next instructions.

Oh dear! Analogue talked me up WAAAY too much! Its easy to look epic when you’re being compared to people who are barely geared to get into heroics and I’m in full raid gear. Now, you compare me to a fellow raider and the story would change.

It was going to be more than five minutes before I could kick and that was five minutes I just couldn’t stay there. Plus I think he was hoping to get kicked (his comments about hating Stonecore).

I actually queued on my baby druid [resto/boom] last night and got a great tank for the level [67] but we had a dps that refused to run back when we wiped on accident and then proceeded to give me a bunch of bull and insults until the engineer managed to use the cables to rez him. He then died on the next pack and I, having already ignored him, refused to rez. Since no one else could, he had to run back.

I took a lot of heat from the group for “making things take longer” but we were still pulling just fine. I’m guessing the reason they didn’t kick me was probably because they’d kicked the healer before me.

Not running back when the party wipes without asking or some such is just lazy and inconsiderate. I wouldn’t have coddled that tank you got either. In fact, I would have vote kicked his sorry butt [presuming I could].
