Drake combo for Halfus is Storm, Timewarden, and Nether scion. Kinda of a tough combo esp for 10man as you’ll lose DPS on drakes for boss interupts.

We usually have three mages available when doing Magmaw, I go Frost to snare and root the worms and the other two stay Fire and blast the bejesus out of anything that moves. Of course this is in a 25man raid, if you’re in a 10man your mileage is going to vary, but having some kind of snare on those worms is vital. Every ranged dps needs to nuke the little buggers. They take priority over everything, even Magmaw himself. Ranged dps get plenty of time to smack the boss when his head comes down. The only other time they should be bothering him is when all the worms are dead and the raid’s back in the correct position. One ranged dps on aoe snare duty should really be all you need if everyone else is on the ball and standing where they should be.

Yeah slate has been up for 2 weeks now. Its time for a nap. If you don’t sneak in to take a look at the drake combo I’ll let you know after our Thursday raid.

Yeah that would be nasty…but there would be less aoe on the raid though. And most of our tries have been three tanking anyway.
Depending on your raid’s gear the Slate, Time, and Storm is worse if you cant take the AOE hits or heal them up raid wide fast enough. Of course with the three you named it would only take an unluckily timed knock back to drop a tank. Yeah, not fun.
We should have tried a 2 tank strat this time. We got use to the MT having the damage of the Nether and did not think to get a second dragon on that tank. Should have tried that though.
I sure would not mind if the slate was taking a nap this week.

Worst boss combo has to be the Slate, the Storm, and the Nether. You have to release the Storm and the Nether at pull. Storm for interupts and Nether for reduced attack speed. For a 10man group that pretty much means a 3 tank fight right now.

ouch I am sure you all will get Halfus down soon! But yeah that combo of dragons sounds brutal ><

SR heads back into BWD tonight. hopefully a boss will die tonight.:)
